I've asked for two, because it's business/first (can't remember which) class so ian would probably get better treatment, so he might actually fly! see on a plane, they always tell him he can go on first, but then he always has to wait for the special wheelchair. he has to go on a special gurney thing because the aisles are so narrow. when we went to america, he was last on, and had to get dragged through first class with everyone else on the plane. it was humiliating and uncomfortable, which is why he hates flying. once he's on he's fine, except for needing shifting on long journeys. amsterdam wouldn't be a problem, especially if we were at the first seat and could go on first.

yeah his goes in the storage thingie, and that's the reason they gave for him being last on, because we made a fuss about making sure his wheelchair wasn't the last thing off. swings and roundabouts i suppose. they always bring the airport wheelchair, and we have to explain it's the gurney we need (like the thing anthony hopkins is wheeled around in silence of the lambs, lol) - ian doesn't moan about anything, but flying really bothers him
